Crafty get the better of Bolt to take Cup in Rathcormac

We could well have been forgiven for thinking Killimer-Kilrush would have the only Skellig winner of the day but that came in Rathcormac as Skellig Lola claimed the All Age Bitch Stake as she was declared winner again Missy Katie. Lola is a litter sister of kennelmate Skellig Eoin who has claimed two Cups earlier in the season.

Crafty Barrazo on his third outing of the season took home the honours in the Jim Howard All Age Cup getting the better of recent winner Spruce Bolt in the final. It was a good day for the Divilys as they also claimed the Bitch Stake in Balbriggan.

Twilight Star franked the form of Sturdyandstaunch the Ballyheigue winner as he took the Derby Trial Stake ticket in Rathcormac for Elaine Guiney. A semi-finalist in Ballyheigue, the son of Matt Hyland and Callura Hunter, was on the receiving end of a heavy course in Tradaree recently but showed his class to bounce back and claim the golden ticket today.

Oaks Trial Stake winner Beautys Lara also helps frank the form of Magical Amber, the Trial Stake winner in Thurles, as she claimed the pass to Powerstown Park. Beautys, owned by the Barrett Sisters Syndicate, is a daughter of Tynwald Smokey and Beautys Outlaw. She beat Uptown Chick in the final of the Trial Stake.
