Gurteen’s Time as he claims second cup of season

Gurteen Time claimed his second All Age Cup of 2013 when he claimed the Cork Cup in Blarney this afternoon, having previously taken the honours in Bandon. The Tom Spillane owned, son of Wilton TIme and Lochbo Katie got the better of Colla Eoin in the final to put him into Champion Stakes reckoning. We’ll have to wait until Monday evening to see just how much he’s shaken things up.

Tim and Rose O’Driscoll’s sensational season continued with their third Oaks Trial Stake this time Skellig Rose, a daughter of Matt Hyland and Beyond Tivoli claimed the honours. She’ll join Skellig Blues and Skellig Kiwi in Powerstown Park in February. She got the better of Brickfield Sky in the final.

In the Derby Trial Stake there was a rare winner for Tullamore as Vedfield Kingpin beat In The Centre in the final of the Derby Trial Stake. Declan Murphy’s dog obliged for him at the sixth time of asking beating In The Centre in the final. In The Centre was beaten in the final of the Trial Stake in Nenagh.
