Force takes Corn Cuchullain

Not for the first time this season a track bred has won an All Age Cup as Colossal Force, a son of Head Bound and Cillowen Gra, claimed the prestigous Corn Cuchullain for the Colossal Syndicate. He got the better of  Broadwell James in the final to claim the Champion Stake points and the money on offer. He had gotten the better of Dale Pinocchio in the semi-final enroute to winning the silverware.

The Jones brothers had success in the Derby Trial Stake as Figaro, a son of Kingsmill Dynamo and Kalanova, won at the fifth time of asking. He’d failed previously in Castlegeoghegan , Old Kilcullen, Cavan and East Donegal but came good in the final to get the better of Hi Ball, another who’d had an outing in Cavan.

The Oaks Trial Stake was claimed by Paul Matthews Final Date, a bitch who had previously gone to the semi final in Ballinagar. The daughter of Cross Country and Wise Purchase proved too good for Working For One in the final.
