Irish Cup hero returns with a win in Wexford

Carricktobin Lad made it 14 victories in succession over the last year as he claimed the Loch Gorman Cup in the Wexford and District meeting today. He got the better of Trim winner Belfast Boy in the final potentially priming him for another crack at the Irish Cup.

John Boyle lost his second Trial Stake of the day as Ashmore Queen lost out in the final of the Oaks Trial Stake to Brendan Matthews Needham Pine. The daughter of Derby Pines and Needham Time had only one previous outing in the all age cup in East Donegal.

Outofthegame certainly backed up the Roll Over Magic Trial Stake form as he claimed the Derby Trial Stake today in Wexford. The son of Kingsmill Dynamo and Dillrock Nina was too good for Lets Have It in the final to claim his ticket to Clonmel.
