Patriot claims Fuller Memorial Cup in Kilflynn

Floating Patriot got the better of Must Name Him to claim the Stephen Fuller Memorial Cup in Kilflynn. The son of Wallace Green and Floating Spirit had been a 12-1 shot earlier in the week but had too much for Must Name Him in to claim the honours in the final.

In the All Age Bitch Stake Turning Pace (March Is On x Big Maggie) proved too good for Barrack Joan to continue her good form. Having won the Kitty Butler last season she could well prove to be one of the ladies to beat this season.

The first Trial Stake ticket of the season was won by Inslips All In, providing a stunning start at stud for 2012 Derby winner Thomas The Tank. A daughter of Foxhall Smokey, Inslips All In claimed the Oaks Trial Stake from Rocking Diva for owners Matthew and David Kennedy.

The Reserve Derby Trial Stake was won by the reserve Sexy Rexy, a son of Razor Ashmore and Cross Kings. Owned by Marian Beckett, Sexy Rexy beat Gra Magic in the deciding course of the afternoon.
