Amigo claims Cup in Miltown-Malbay

Lineroad Amigo got the better of Maker of Rules to claim the All Age Cup in Miltown-Malbay today claiming his first victory of his All Age campaign. The son of Wallace Green and Portinard Nine, owned by Collete O’Regan had too much for the Gerry Holian trained Maker Of Rules who had won the Trial Stake here last season.

Skellig Rose helped the O’Driscolls claim their second consecutive bitch stake victory here (and second of the day- Skellig Lola winning in Ballinagar). Well fancied before coursing, Rose had been relegated to second favourite overnight but proved too strong for Giveittobatty in the final.

Killimor Matey’s stunning start to the season at Sire has continued as his son Timmie Trickibow won the Derby Trial Stake sensationally beating the hot favourite Power Game. The son of Killimor Matey and Valentia Popstar is owned by Emily Kearney.

May pup Advocate got the better Crossbound in the final of the Oaks Trial Stake. The daughter of Kyle James and Miss Knockillon was making her first outing of the season for owner Martin Keane.
