Dealbhna Mor takes the honours in Ballinagar

Dealbhna Mor dumped out favourite Blazing Music and went on to claim victory as he got the better of Rosskeen Chief in the final of the All Age Cup. Owned by Katie McHugh and trained by her father Damien, Dealbhna Mor made up for the disappointment of missing last season’s National Meeting as he claimed a first victory of the season a week after his litter brother Vale View Flyer opened his.

Skellig Lola, trained by Charlie Faul for the O’Driscoll’s sprung a surprise in the final to beat Needham Pine and claim the silverware. Lola only entered the stake as a reserve but having claimed two Cups last season she’ll be aiming at a place in the Champion Bitch Stake this year.

The Divilys got their first winner of the season as Crafty Merlano ran out an impressive winner of the Oaks Trial Stake. The daughter of Adios Alonso and Crafty Bonito got the better of Donegal Gold in the final. The Crafty Bonito litter have been knocking on the door over the last couple of weeks and it would be no surprise if a few of her litter comrades join her in Clonmel.

Pandemonium got the second winner of the season for the Adios Alonso and Notindispute litter as he got the better of Blueview Sanual in the Reserve Derby Trial Stake final. Pandemonium, owned by Reamonn and Aoife Smith will certainly go in search of a full Trial Stake victory now.
