Whiskey Galore in Waterford as he claims Urbs Intacta!

Whiskey Galore claimed the Urbs Intacta Cup in Waterford when he was declared winner when Ashwood James was withdrawn prior to the final. The son of Tubbertelly Dubh and Temple Tia becomes yet another track bred Cup winner this season. Whiskey Galore is  unraced on the track as of yet and is owned by Timmy Holland and Adam Dunford.

The All Age Bitch Stake was claimed by Amys View who got the better of Sunfire Magic in the final. A daughter of Kingsmill Dynamo and Dedicated, she had shown real potential for this season on her last appearance last year when reaching the final of the Oaks Trial Stake at the Co Kerry meeting. She is owned by Amy Costello.

The Oaks Trial Stake winner was Droopys Sugar, a daughter of Mafi Magic and Drumcrow Carol. Well fancied overnight she was the odds on favourite before the quarter final. Sugar is the second of her litter to claim Trial Stakes this season, Blue Abella claiming the Oaks Trial Stake in New Ross last week. It is believed that this lady has already been sold.

The Reserve Derby Trial Stake at the Waterford meeting was won by Wallers Lot Matt, a son of Matt Hyland and Montalto Pearl. A March whelp, Wallers Lot Matt is owned by Kay O’Sullivan and David O’Neill. He got the better of Brookwood Tom in the final of the stake.
