Black And White victorious in Limerick City

Noreen and Kieran McManus have had a strong season to date and their year got better today as Black And White, a son of Bexhill Eoin and Banbas Hawkeye made up for the disappointment of missing out on a Trial Stake last season when he claimed the Treaty Cup. Black And White got the better of the overnight outsider Mafi Magician in the final.

Captain Dru claimed a winner when his daughter, Pauna Pronto, owned by Lauretta Keyes, got the better of Magical Jasmine in the All Age Bitch Stake. A semi-finalist on this field last seaon, Pauna Pronto came good today to take home the silverware.

In the Derby Trial Stake there was overdue joy for the McLoughlin’s as Cooga Jonjo finally saw his connections into the winner’s enclosure this season. Owned by Shane McLoughlin, Cooga Jonjo is a May whelp and a son of Adios Alonso and Cooga Clause. He got the better of Quasimodo Raz in the final. Among those to come us just short for the connections were Cooga Darlan and Cooga Mafi who have been beaten in All Age finals this season.

The Oaks Trial Stake saw Kyle King enjoy a Trial Stake winner as Moonveen Magda got the better of Carrowclough. The April whelp, owned by Judy Mackey had reached the fourth round in Cashel on her only other start this season. She got the better of Carrowclough, a lady who had reached the last 8 in Loughrea previously.
