Crafty claims the Cup in Gorey

Crafty Resino got the better of Fingal Billy in the final of the Cup this afternoon in Gorey. Crafty, a son of Kyle James and Crafty Molino, is owned by the Divily Family Syndicate had previously reached the final in Loughrea. Both finalist had reached the decider having come out on the right side of tossed semi-finals. The pair move onto 6 Champion Stakes points putting them in great position to have a crack at breaking into the top 16 before the January cut off.

The Clonmel ticket on offer for the Derby Trial Stake saw Hilark James, a son of Kyle James and Marshals Duchess, triumph. Eugene Hiney, blue brindle pup got the better of Kingsmill Jasper in the final. He had previously lost in the first round in both Fermoy and New Ross. This was a second beaten final for Kingsmill Jasper, having lost out in the New Ross Trial Stake.

The Reserve Oaks Trial Stake saw Salamanca Lady claim the honours on her fifth outing of the season. The daughter of Kingsmill Dynamo and Moat Lady had previously shown her best form losing out to Oaks favourite Laurdella Dani in the semi-final in New Ross. Owned by the DRT Syndicate she got the better of Teds Turbo in the final.
