Windfarm gives herself a shot at Powerstown with Lifford victory

Windfarm Ivy gave herself a great chance of reaching the Grace Bruton Champion Bitch Stake as she got the better of Isabelles Charm to claim the East Donegal All Age Bitch Stake. On the field where she won her Trial Stake as a pup, Windfarm adds to her victory at the  Galway and Oranmore meeting to move onto 8 Champion Stake points. Isabelles Charm also moves onto 8 points as she ran up her second final of the season, as well as winning the Bitch Stake in Balbriggan.

The James Magee Memorial Cup saw MacBrides Blonde finally get his paws on some silverware as he got the better of Fleetwood James in the final. Twice a finalist as a pup, once in Dungannon and once in East Donegal, the Damien McLaughlin owned dog had run well at the first East Donegal meeting losing in the semi-final to winner Geordie Casanova. He’s a son of Johnny Casanova and Eastwell Blonde.

There was success in the Derby Trial Stake for Seriously Brave a son of Blueview Sam and Ballymore Becks. Owned by the D-C Syndicate Seriously Brave had three previous outings before collecting his ticket. He was declared winner from Blueview Huggle, the Maxi Collins dog reaching his second Trial Stake final of the season.

The McDonalds from Ballymena were celebrating their Oaks Trial Stake success as Dunsilly Dice got the better of the well supported Central Majestic. A daughter of Kyle James and Specific Date, Dice had only one previous outing, at the first East Donegal meeting. She is a 33-1 shot for the Oaks.
