Gavin and Molly help claim Carrowkeal double

Carrowkeal Gavin, a Derby quarter-finalist in 2015 claimed the Rakes of Mallow on Thursday getting the better of Glenbowen Junior to claim his third All Age Cup, and first of this season. Owned by Kathleen Murphy, Carrowkeal is a son of Kyle James and Cumbawn Ellen and takes 4 Champion Stake points for his efforts.

The Derby Trial Stake saw Tankofftom get the better of Boomtown Harvey in the deciding course to form the first part of a double for Thomas The Tank. A son of Blades of Joy, he had previously reached the third round of the Trial Stake in Kilflynn on the opening weekend of the season. He is owned by the D-J-K-P-T Syndicate.

In the Oaks Trial Stake, Carrowkeal Molly gave the Murphy’s a double on the day when the daughter of Thomas The Tank and Lochbo Zola sprang an upset beating Iberostar in the deciding course. Her only previous outing this season was in Glin.
