Earl of Clare was lording it up in Charleville this afternoon as he claimed the All Age Cup there this afternoon from Southern Spring, for his owner John Fitzgibbon. Earl of Clare reached the final of the Derby Trial Stake in Mitchelstown last season losing to Black Barracuda on that occasion.
The All Age Bitch Stake went to Ashwood Gap, a daughter of Pocketrocketben and Windgap View. Owned by Helen Doyle, Ashwood only had a single appearance last season and a single appearance this season. She got the better of Millridge Daisy.
Acres Bob, became the second member of his litter (after Carrowkeal Molly) to claim a place in Clonmel this week as he got the better of Kyle Leigh to win the Derby Trial Stake. Acres is owned by James Crowley and Dave Mahony and had only one previous outing in Loughrea last weekend. He is a son of Thomas The Tank and Lochbo Zola.
The Oaks Trial Stake saw Knockout Glory take the silverware for Liam McAuliffe, when she got the better of Balinveala Seana. A daughter of Adios Alonso and Knockout Kate, she only had one previous outing, last weekend in Abbeydorney, where she lot out in the opening round.
