Squaw underlines her class at Ballinagar

Oaks quarter-finalist Choctaw Squaw got up and running for the season as she claimed the All Age Bitch Stake at Ballinagar this afternoon for owner Feargal O’Donnell. The daughter of Johnny Casanova and Dungill saw off Coshair Sunset in the deciding buckle.

The Oaks Trial Stake saw something of a surprise with overnight favourite Gripwell Nancy beaten in the deciding buckle by Billistown Babe. Owned by Desmond Mullen, Billistown has had one previous outing this season reaching the second round in Westmeath. She is a daughter of Kyle James and Billistown Lady.

The Reserve Derby Trial Stake saw Boynepark Josh claim the spoils from Percys Quest. Boynepark, a son of Kyle Ranger and Boynepark Maggie, had previously reached the 3rd round in both Westmeath and Liscannor. He is owned by the Royalaoise Syndicate.
