Half The Odds showed that his Desmond Cup victory was no fluke when he beat Wizard Matthew to claim the Island Cup and put himself in pole position for a place in the Champion Stakes. He saw off the challenge of Downton Pluto in the final.

The Reserve Oak Trial Stake went to the Big One, a daughter of Mafi Magic and Big Maggie. She held off Shanavulin Amy to claim the Cup. Owned by Mark and Charles Ryall she’ll be fancied to claim a Trial Stake when she reappears.
