Tractorman motors to victory

Tractorman maintained his good form in Carlow claiming the Corn Ceatharlach this afternoon from Ballymore Sam. The son of Newinn Wonder and Chance Me Betty had caused a surprise in the semi-final getting the better of favourite Howdododo. Gearoid Doyle’s dog will now be looking to the rest of the season with plenty of hope.

There was victory for Barbican Dice in the All Age Bitch Stake as the daughter of Kyle James and Specific Date saw off Yournothingbut in the decider. Owned by Graham Reid, the bitch known as Dunsilly Dice last season, showed her liking for the longer stretch to claim victory.

The Derby Trial Stake saw Rosskeen Colonel claim the ticket to Clonmel as the son of Mafi Magic and Loyal Lyric did the business for owner Seamus Donnelly. Rosskeen got the better of Chooseyourweapon in the final. He had one previous outing this year running in Westmeath.

The Oaks Trial Stake ticket went to Tea Time Gem, a daughter of Central City and Freffans Pearl. Owned by the Tea Time Syndicate it was the first outing of the season for this lady. She got the better of Sunfire Sorcha in the final.
