Mr Orange claims Centenary Tipperary Cup

Mr Orange (not Donald Trump…) came good this afternoon to claim the the Centenary running of the Ladies International Tipperary Cup at the Clonmel and Kilsheelan meeting. Owned by the Redondo Syndicate this son of Adios Alonso and Chubbys Excel, upset the final odds to get the better of Stephens Owen.

The All Age Bitch Stake saw Chubbys Razor claim a maiden victory for Laura O’Meara. A daughter of Razor Ashmore and Quality and Dash she saw off Amelies Milly in the deciding buckle having been well fancied throughout.

The Dog Trial Stake saw something of a surprise as well as overnight fancy Amcas Magic fell to Not Caught Paul in the final. Not Caught Paul, a son of Thomas The Tank and Moat Lady, owned by Moira Roche and Margaret Holland was making his fourth outing of the season, having previously run in Cashel, Mallow and Limerick City.

The Oaks Trial Stake fell the way of Classic Lady, a daughter of Mafi Magic and Hollyoak Scotch and inflicting a third Trial Stake final defeat of the season on Pumpkin Ashmore. On her maiden appearance Classic Lady is owned by Trevor Power.
