Cuine ‘Yet’ again shows his class

Cuine Yet, last season’s TA Morris runner-up, claimed the Paddy Doyle Memorial Cup today in Johnstown and Urlingford getting the better of Kingcormac Fairy in the final. A son of Adios Alonso and Dale Roisin, Cuine is owned by the Cuine Syndicate. Having reached the semi-final in Freshford and Edenderry this season, he got over the line today.

The All Age Bitch Stake saw a return to form for Blizzard Maria. The daughter of Mafi Magic and Class Attraction, had won a Trial Stake in Ardpatrick two years ago but has found the going tough since. Con Guiney’s lady saw off Honey Valentine in the final.

The long odds favourite Trillainminella (great name that) did the business in the Oaks Trial Stake for Shane Culhane inflicting a second Trial Stake final defeat on Sunfire Sorcha. The daughter of Thomas The Tank and Killacolla Spice was making her debut today and she’ll be one to keep an eye on come Powerstown.

Barna Rock claimed the Reserve Derby Trial Stake for Edward and Eamon Kelly. A son of Newinn Wonder and Drumcrow Amber he got the better of Private Pulse in the final. It was his sixth outing of the season.
