Abunchoftools and Moorstown Diane left it late but eventually claimed their place in Clonmel with victories this afternoon at the Tubbercurry meeting.
A son of Adios Alonso and Tanyard Kerry, Abunchoftools saw off the challenge of Central Frontier in the final for the Glory-Kilmillhill Syndicate. The April whelp had three previous outing this season, a second round appearance at the Killimer-Kilrush meeting was he best showing up until this point.
The Oaks ticket was collected by Moorstown Diane, a daughter of Kyle Leigh and Good Morning Mam. She got the better of Abbeyfeale runner up Jumeirah Glory in the final. Owned by the O’Flahertys, Moorstown Diane is handled by Cathal Magee. Her best outing prior to this was at Dundalk where she went down to eventual winner Rosskeen Rising in the third round.
